Don was born in Iowa City, and his family moved all around the west and Alaska before he settled with his 2 daughters into Malheur County. He got into the DD field by accident during a time when he wasn’t working and found employment in a group home. While training to work in the group home he took his breaks in their sheltered workshop and it was transformative for him. Don was accepted for who he was, the skills he brought to the table, and appreciated for what he had to give back. It was through working with that group of people that Don found his true calling. His hobbies include: hanging out with his family, cooking, reading, the New York Jets, listening to music, and exploring the Desert Mountains and canyons.
